I’m Addie Broyles, and I’ve been a food writer, blogger, podcaster and mom for more than a decade.
In 2008, I started a food column for the Austin American-Statesman called Relish Austin, where I wrote about farmers markets, food trends and cooking.
In 2010, I started a blog called The Feminist Kitchen, where I wrote about love and loss, old quilts, traveling with my kids and birthday cake.
In 2021, I left the newspaper and combined those efforts into a weekly newsletter on Substack. I’m now a full-time freelancer, consultant and tarot card practioner, and writing for Substack has been a wonderful change of pace from my life at the daily newspaper.
